DOES MEDICARE COVER LONG TERM CARE
Original Medicare provides coverage medically necessary care for short term care. Short- term care are things like:
- Doctor Visits
- Hospital Stays
- Prescription Drugs administered to you while in the care of your doctor.
Generally-Medicare does not pay for most long-term care services or personal care. Long- Term care are facilities that assist with things such as:
- Assistance with bathing
- Continuous supervision (custodial care).
